The Museum is located in a historical building which dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. Led by Museum experts, private tours explore Shamanism, Buddhism and Lamaism in Siberia, as well as the history of Novonikolayevsk. Museum exhibits a vast range of specimens from various segments of ancient history of the region and unification of Siberia.

Visitors will enjoy the multitude of unsurpassed birch bark arrangements: in the Hall of Fairy Tales some favourite characters come to life, in the Hall of Situations one can see some amusing real life scenes, the Hall of Mysteries will capture your imagination, in the Hall of Legends more rites practiced by ancient shamans will be brought to your attention. In the Big Hall you will be most impressed with sculptures and jewellery made of birch bark.

This Museum has a unique collection of steam engines, diesel locomotives, electric locomotives and carriages which operated in the railways of West Siberia. Besides, the collection includes Soviet era private cars, such as GAZ, Mokvich, ZAZ of different years, and several lorries, tractors and off-road vehicles.
